About

Mission

The Congressional Biofuels Caucus advocates for strong biofuels policies which meet the demand for reliable and affordable liquid fuels while supporting rural economies, high-paying jobs, and value-added markets for agricultural commodities. The Caucus recognizes that biofuels are key to American energy independence and responsible stewardship of our resources.

Principles

  1. Nationwide, year-round availability of higher ethanol blends
  2. Robust RFS levels which reflect domestic biofuels production capacity.
  3. Timely regulatory decisions and industry compliance to protect the integrity of the RFS.
  4. Policies which drive innovation, growth, and investment in the biofuels industry.
  5. Regular review of renewable fuel programs to account for new technology and processes.
